Hopevale Union Free School District Goals for 2009-2010
Committed to reclaiming youth through character development and academic growth
-
Collaboration with Hopevale Inc.
In the interest of enhancing cooperation and nurturing bonds of trust between the two Hopevale organizations, and in keeping with SED and OCFS mandate for agency collaboration-work in partnership with representatives of the boards and administration of both Hopevale organizations to identify and share strategies that mutually support both agencies with the ultimate goal of meeting the educational & social/emotional needs of the children we serve. -
Curriculum & Instruction
Preconditions for school improvement include: instructional coherence, a shared vision for school improvement, and data driven decision making. Develop district benchmarks that provide a framework for implementation of policies and procedures that will ensure consistency throughout curricula and instruction. -
Culturally Responsive Practices
Culturally responsive educational systems promote respect and responsibility in the professionals who serve culturally and linguistically diverse students. Evaluate how we promote the creation of conditions, produce resources and tools, and support multiple stakeholders in the on-going refinement of an educational system that is responsive to cultural diversity. -
Partnership with Others
As we enhance the quality of our programs, we need to actively pursue the involvement of family members, local community, higher education and other agencies to form potential relationships. Develop mutual relationships with other agencies and provide opportunities for student to perform or work with other schools or agencies.
